A StratoStar payload carrying a space component in near-space flight beneath the balloon

Space Flight Test

Rapid Flight Test
for Space Components

Get your satellite component from TRL 5 to TRL 7 in a single flight test. Firm-fixed price. A published Flight Test Calendar. Hardware returned in 72 hours.

Overview

The Flight Qualification Service (FQS) is StratoStar's rapid flight test offering for space components. Fly your hardware to 80,000–100,000 ft in real near-space conditions — near-vacuum, extreme cold, cosmic radiation, and real RF propagation — for integrated, in-situ validation.

FQS is built for component-level testing: prove that your radio, solar panel, sensor, or avionics board works in real flight conditions before you commit to an orbital launch slot. A published Flight Test Calendar and firm-fixed pricing — $3,400/lb plus a Mission Access Fee, 2 lb minimum — make iterative development practical. Need a dedicated flight? Private Missions are available; book a consultation for a firm-fixed quote.
