Send Your Students' Experiments
to the Edge of Space
SHARE is a turnkey near-space program your institution runs as its own — and keeps 100% of the revenue. A real space mission for your community, and real earned income for you. You bring the students; we fly the missions, recover the payloads, and return the data and the video.
Authentic STEM Is Hard to Deliver
Your members and families want real science — not another kit, not another screen. But running a genuine high-altitude research program means FAA coordination, launch crews, recovery, telemetry, and curriculum your staff doesn't have time to build. So the “wow” experiences get watered down, and the budget gets spent on programs that don't pay for themselves.
A Real Space Program, Run by You — Powered by Us
SHARE (Student High-Altitude Research Experience) is a program partnership. You promote it to your audience and run the student experience; StratoStar handles everything that makes it real — the flight kit, the launch, FAA, recovery, live tracking, video, and data. Think SSEP or NASA TechRise — but open year-round, with no grant to win, and built to earn revenue for your institution.
- Turnkey. We fly; you teach. Most of it runs remotely, on your calendar.
- Real near-space flight. Student payloads ride a balloon to ~100,000 ft and come home with data and footage.
- You set the price, you keep 100%. No revenue split to negotiate.
“Think SSEP — but for your community, open year-round, with all the work done for you.”
Your education team already knows programs like SSEP and NASA TechRise. SHARE delivers that caliber of real near-space science — open to your audience year-round, with no grant to win and nothing for your staff to operate.
Four Steps to Liftoff
01
Book a Call
We learn your audience and size the partnership to what you can realistically run.
02
Build
Your students design and prep their experiments, with curriculum, activities, and optional coaching from our team.
03
Fly
We launch within a monthly window, recover the payloads, and capture the data and video. Weather sets the day — your event never depends on it.
04
Reveal
You host the moment — in person or virtual — and unveil the returned payloads, data, and flight footage to your students and families.
Not a One-Day Event. A Real Research Mission.
SHARE unfolds over a few weeks — students don't just watch, they investigate.
- Prep & Build. Guided sessions: students form a hypothesis and prepare their experiment using the scientific method (scaffolded so every student succeeds).
- Launch Window. When the weather's right, we fly.
- Watch It Live. Students follow the flight online in real time.
- Recovery & Return. A few days later the payload comes home — with footage, photos, and data from the edge of space.
- Analyze & Discover. Guided sessions: students work with the real flight data and see what happened to their experiment.
- Build the Report. Students communicate their findings in a ONE Slide research report — authentic research, not a kit-only toy.

A real StratoStar mission — the live flight map and telemetry students follow.
One Program. Priced for Institutions.
SHARE is an annual partnership built around capsule slots — each slot is a payload's seat on a mission. You choose what goes in each slot and how to run it, and you set your own price to families and members. Partnerships scale from a single-site Launch Partner to a multi-chapter Premier Partner with a branded dashboard, up to custom Enterprise rollouts for networks like Civil Air Patrol.
Partnerships start at $10,000/year. We'll size the right tier with you on a call.
Every partnership includes a designated staff Program Lead — or let our Education team run it for you with a Managed Program option.
What You Can Earn on the $10,000 Program
You set your own price and keep everything above the $10,000 Launch program fee. That fee buys 10 capsule slots — and with a group of about 15 students per slot, that's 150 student experiences in a year:
At $250/student
$27,500
you keep
$37,500 collected − $10,000 fee
At $500/student
$65,000
you keep
$75,000 collected − $10,000 fee
At $1,000/student
$140,000
you keep
$150,000 collected − $10,000 fee
More students per slot, smaller experiments. Each capsule slot shares a fixed weight and volume budget, so the more students you put on a slot, the smaller each individual experiment — a class of 15 flies lighter, more compact payloads than a group of 5. You choose the balance of reach vs. payload size.
Homeschool co-ops run SHARE the same way — fill slots across your member families (families typically pay a few hundred dollars per student) and keep the spread.
Illustrative only — you set your pricing, on the $10,000 Launch tier with ~15 students per slot. Actual revenue depends on enrollment and the price you choose.
Your Audience. Your Format. Your Revenue.
Each slot flexes to fit how you serve your community — and because you keep 100% of what you charge, a well-run program pays for itself.
Class Mission
About ten small student experiments for a class of 4–20. Patches, activities, broad reach.
Advanced Workshop
One or two sophisticated payloads (data loggers, sensors) for a small, premium cohort.
Camp or Member Event
A multi-session experience built around the build-up and the reveal.
You Run It. We Power It.
Your Institution
- Recruit and enroll your students & members
- Run the build + reveal sessions (your Program Lead)
- Set your own price and keep 100%
- Host the reveal — in person or virtual
StratoStar
- Flight kits + curriculum for every capsule slot
- FAA-compliant launch, recovery & safety
- Mission tracking, data, video & the student report
- All flight logistics + a branded dashboard (Premier)
No staff to run it? Our Education team can — with the Managed Program option. We run the program for you; you provide one staff lead as your point of contact. A minimum of one staff lead is required for every program.
Twenty Years. Over a Thousand Missions. A 99%+ Recovery Record.
StratoStar has flown 1,000+ near-space missions over 20+ years with a 99%+ recovery rate — plus a re-flight guarantee behind every mission. Our SHARE program already powers the largest student near-space implementation in the country with Civil Air Patrol, alongside partners like Space Center Houston and the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.

Questions
Our Mission Assurance guarantee: if a flight fails on our end — anything from launch to recovery to data capture — we re-fly that slot free, and it doesn't count against your program. With a 99%+ recovery rate over 1,000+ missions and a re-flight backstop on top of that, your students get their mission.
It won't matter. We never tie your event to a specific launch day — weather decides when we fly within the window. We fly when conditions are right, then return the payloads, data, and video so you run a guaranteed reveal event on your schedule, in person or virtual. The spectacle is the reveal, not the launch.
No. You provide a Program Lead to coordinate your students, and we provide the curriculum and support. Limited staff? With the Managed Program option, our Education team runs it for you — you provide just one staff lead as the point of contact. A minimum of one staff lead is required for every program.
We size your partnership on the call so you don't over-buy, send pacing reminders through the year, and offer first-year partners flexibility at renewal. We'd rather grow with you than oversell you.
You collect it. You set your own price to families and members and keep 100% — StratoStar simply fulfills the missions behind the scenes. You pay one annual partnership fee; everything you charge above that is yours.
Partnerships start at $10,000/year and scale with your audience. Book a call and we'll size the right fit.
No. We work from a standard SHARE partner agreement that's ready to review — not drafted from scratch — and we handle onboarding for you. We've contracted with school networks, museums, and national organizations like the Civil Air Patrol, so procurement and paperwork move fast.
Let's Bring Space to Your Community
