Macy Bussberg

Hi, I’m Macy! I lead SHARE at StratoStar. I built the curriculum, the online teacher course, the student activities and the Mission Logbook, all to help teachers send their students’ experiments to the edge of space, about 90,000 feet up.

Before StratoStar, I spent eight years teaching kindergarten and 4th grade in Indianapolis and Noblesville, and I taught English to young learners in Shenzhen, China. I have a B.S. in Elementary Education from Purdue, and I’ve always looked for ways to bring technology into my classroom.

My love of space started in my backyard, stargazing with my dad and trying to wrap my head around how big the universe is. With SHARE, I want more students to have the chance to send their own experiments to near space. The best part isn’t the launch. It’s the questions they start asking afterward, and the curiosity that keeps them wanting to explore the unknown.
